An Indian Fusion Dance Production
As if in the blink of an eye, it has been 10 years since I started dancing in Zurich. It’s been an incredible personal journey and we have shared wonderful moments together.
Dancing has been a lifelong passion for me and it has been fuelled by the opportunity to teach choreos to students, creating productions and performing at events.
I will celebrate this 10-year milestone by creating a unique inclusive production open to the public where you will have a role to play. I want to relive and encapsulate this journey of 10 years together with you.
How exactly do I plan to do this? On 14 June 2020, I plan to present an evening of magical dance entitled “Leela – Ein Lebenstraum”. Leela will be a unique Indian fusion dance production, where our passion for all forms of Indian dance (classical, folk, Bollywood etc.) will be showcased. I am proud to say that SADC will be collaborating with Sharmila Rao, a reputed BharataNatyam dancer based in Zurich.
If you’ve ever wondered how Indian dance forms can blend together, this is your chance to see it come alive! Each piece of our production will echo the fusion of various Indian dance forms from different corners of India, including the crowd pleasing Bollywood.
SADC is offering you a chance to perform for a discerning audience and showcase Indian art with a unique and creative twist.
Even the participation/rehearsal concept is unique. It is you who sets your own availability and level of involvement and commitment. The more time you have, the more involved you can be.
Rehearsals will start in January on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays for different levels. All I ask is that you take your commitment seriously so we are together able to deliver a mindblowing production.
